I know that Valentine's Day can be grating for some people (it's a Hallmark created holiday! Restaurants have rip-off prix fixe menus!), but I think there is nothing better during this grim month to think and appreciate all the love around us all. I don't just mean the romantic love of a partner, but the love of your family, the love of your bestie, or of your pet.
There are even simpler loves -- the love of a certain type of tea or a cozy mystery book or a song that isn't particularly popular but for whatever reason speaks to you anyway.
